Aluminium billets production
ALUMINIUM BILLETS PRODUCTION
The casting plant is a new investment by Extral, located in Rybnik. The entire industrial complex includes a modern casting line for the production of aluminium billets.
It is one of the most modern plants of its kind in Europe, characterised by innovations in production technology and environmentally friendly solutions that contribute to low CO2 emissions. Annual capacity - 60,000 tonnes of billets.
IT INCLUDES
An 85T melting furnace with a cold and hot chamber, equipped with a LOTUS electromagnetic pump for melting chips and circulating as well as transporting metal.
A 55T holding furnace with a magnetic liquid alloy mixing system
A casting well with a Wagstaff table for vertical casting in crystallisers (semi-continuous casting).
A fully automatic billet homogenisation furnace.
WHY RECYCLED ALUMINIUM?
From an ecological perspective, reducing the energy required to manufacture a product is a very important issue. It is estimated that recycling consumes only 5% of the energy associated with the aluminium production process.
This means that the energy gain is as high as 95%! Lower consumption translates into a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
The average global production of aluminium billet is 14 kg CO2e/kg, the European average is 6.7 kg CO2e/kg, and the projected emission for our billet is 0.861 CO2e/kg, which is confirmed by the EPD declaration:

REMELT
Thanks to its durability, aluminium is considered an ecological and environmentally friendly material, and even after repeated processing, it does not lose its properties.
The low-carbon REMELT product has been designed to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals and to meet the requirements of increasingly climate-conscious consumers.

PURCHASE OF SCRAP
Extral primarily offers purchase of aluminum scrap segregated from 6xxx series alloys in the form of technological waste generated in machining processes performed on raw, anodized and painted aluminum profiles.
Extral guarantees:
- competitive prices
- professional service
- possibility of own collection in case of significant quantities
- all legally required documents (Integrated Permit, appropriate entries in the BDO, weighing protocol)
Let’s do business together
(permit no. IS.6233.14.2015.EW)
Low-emission aluminum ingots REMELT is a brand of Extral products with high quality parameters produced from recycled raw materials and produced with an above-standard share of scrap, as much as approx. 90%.
REMELT ingots are produced in the low-emission LCO2ET (Low CO2 Emission Technology) technology using mathematical models, thanks to which we actually reduce energy consumption in the production phase and thus have a real impact to reduce CO2 emissions and protect the natural environment.
It should be noted that 100% of the electricity used in the production of ingotbillets and aluminium profiles comes from renewable sources.
