An EPD is a concise summary of information on the environmental impact of a product. It is a quantitative description of the impact, covering the product's life cycle – from the extraction of raw materials to its disposal.
It is issued by independent organisations based on the international standards ISO 14025
and EN 15804, thanks to which it can be considered a reliable and credible document.
