EU grant for an innovative process of manufacturing 6xxx series aluminium alloy tubes.
EXTRAL Sp. z o.o., in partnership with Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals, has obtained EU funding for the project: “Innovative process for manufacturing 6xxx series aluminium alloy tubes with a narrowed chemical composition for rolling into anodized lighting poles”.
The project aims to develop both a product innovation and a process innovation in production technology. The key research objective is to create a product from scratch with quality minimizing waste at subsequent processing stages. The project includes industrial and development work up to TRL 8 and is aligned with regional smart specialization, the European Research Area policy agenda, and Green Deal priorities.
Project value: PLN 6,727,579.14
EU funding: PLN 4,403,974.68
