Project objective
The objective of the project is to develop an innovation in the form of tubes made from 6xxx series aluminium alloys with a narrowed chemical composition for rolling into anodised lighting poles, as well as a process innovation in their production technology.
Tasks and activities
The main research assumption is to develop, from the ground up, a product quality that minimises the amount of waste generated in subsequent processing stages. This objective will be achieved through industrial research and development work up to and including Technology Readiness Level VIII.
Planned effects
The planned result of the project is the development of innovative tubes made from 6xxx series aluminium alloys with a narrowed chemical composition for rolling into anodised lighting poles, as well as a process innovation in their production technology. The project assumes the development of a product quality that minimises the amount of waste generated in subsequent processing stages.
Additional information
The project is aligned with the Regional Smart Specialisation in the area of Emerging Industries, the Policy Agenda of the European Research Area, and concerns research in the area of the European Green Deal.
