ENVIRONMENTAL PRODUCT DECLARATION, EPD - TYPE III (ENVIRONMENTAL PRODUCT DECLARATION).

We are pleased to announce that we have obtained environmental declarations for construction products, EPD - type III (Environmental Product Declaration), according to the PN-EN 15804 + A1 standard.

/ The EPD declaration is a tool enabling proper communication of the environmental characteristics of products which, in accordance with the current policy of the European Commission, belong to the group of basic tools for implementing the principles of sustainable development.

/ Environmental declaration, the so-called third type (EPD) is a set of quantified data characterizing the energy consumption and emissions in particular phases of the product's life, in accordance with the environmental life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology.

- EPDs provide summarized information on the main aspects of a product's potential environmental impact, such as energy consumption, global warming and acidification.

- Declarations enable end users of aluminum - from architects to shipping companies and consumer product companies - to make informed choices about the use of metal.

- The EPD declaration is not a typical certificate, but a certificate of environmental impact assessment of a product at various stages of its production and life cycle: from obtaining materials, through production, transport, assembly, use, to disposal and recycling. It quantifies the extraction of raw materials, energy consumption in the production process, water consumption and waste generation.

- The EPD declaration allows the comparison of the environmental profile and the assessment and selection of products in terms of the verified environmental performance of a given product or service.

EPDs enable investors to operate under "Green Building" in such systems as:

LEED - Ecological Certification System (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) ® for green building certification under LEED® V4

BREEAM - a system of ecological, multi-criteria buildings certification (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method), a method of assessing sustainable development for planning, infrastructure and buildings.

DGNB - The German system of ecological, multi-criteria evaluation of buildings DGNB (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen e.V - DGNB).
