Project objective

The objective of the project is to develop innovative profiles made from 6xxx series aluminium alloys with uniform functional properties, manufactured using continuous control and optimisation of the extrusion process coupled with press control, i.e. the Autonomous Manufacturing System for Innovative Aluminium Profiles (WIPA).

Tasks and activities

The project includes the development and implementation of solutions enabling the production of innovative aluminium profiles with uniform functional properties, using an autonomous system for continuous regulation and optimisation of the extrusion process.

Target groups

The project is related to the development of technology for manufacturing aluminium profiles from 6xxx series alloys. The target recipients of the project results are entities using aluminium profiles with stable and uniform functional properties, as well as production processes requiring an increase in production yield and a reduction in the quantity of substandard materials.

Planned effects

The planned result of the project is the creation and market introduction of innovative profiles made from 6xxx series aluminium alloys with uniform functional properties. The project also assumes an increase in production yield and a reduction in the quantity of substandard materials.

Additional information

The project was implemented in cooperation with the Warsaw University of Technology – Faculty of Production Engineering and the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals in Skawina.
